Office Manager - Insurance & Finance Sector


Location: Barcelona, Spain

Organization

Our client is a specialist insurance businesses with operations in Europe, the US, Canada, Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and Australia.



Function

As an underwriting Assistant you will work as part of the Operations team to provide support with a variety of underwriting activities associated with data entry, credit control, meeting service level agreements and utilising strong communication and relationship-building skills to liaise with colleagues, brokers and clients. Your mail responsibilities will be:

-Database management; requiring a high-level of accuracy for large volumes of data and workflow monitoring to ensure the completion of each individual risk entry.
-Ensure timely and accurate controls entry and scanning of risk documentation onto all Beazley systems within agreed service levels.
-Photocopying, logging and scanning quotes and declinatures.
-Issuing quotation policy documents on behalf of underwriters.
-Assist with translations from English to other European languages.
-Liaison with local service providers.
-Order processing (office and other technical material, beverage supply).
-Supporting the marketing team in local events
-Undertake any other reasonable duties /ad hoc reports as may be requested by the underwriting team.


Requirements

We are looking for someone with the following:

-Bachelors Degree Required
-High level of English and Spanish
-Italian and Portuguese are a big plus.
-Computer skills – good working knowledge of MS Office, well developed spreadsheet skills
-Able to communicate effectively with others, both verbally intermediate/advanced Excel
-Motivational skills, team worker as well as able to work on own initiative
-Proven administrative experience, preferably within the insurance or financial services sectors
-Proven background in accurate, high volume date entry
-Professional approach to successfully interact with managers/colleagues/external suppliers
