Technical & Help Desk Support

Location: Barcelona, Spain

Our client is a recognized international business school specialized in formation and research of economics and social science fields.


As a Tech and Help Desk Support in the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics you would work providing technical support and issue resolution to internal and external staff which may include users of all types and skill levels. Responsibilities may also include installations, upgrades, computing problem resolution, and diagnosis of issue severity, recovery, project implementation, user account management, password reset assistance, PC hardware/software resolution as well as more advanced troubleshooting and support.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Answer and resolve request from our staff of 25 members. Help Desk, efficiently and professionally.
• Troubleshoot corporate applications with the use of a Knowledge Base and assign issues to the appropriate support group as needed
• Use remote control tool to assist end users when needed
• Provide an accurate record and resolution of each task.
• Act as a technical resource to others to resolve problems, issues, errors or related
• Anticipate customer needs and proactively identify solutions
• Plan, prioritize, organize and complete work to meet established objectives
• Work does not usually require established procedures.
• Work independently and as a team.


To be considered for this position, applicants need to meet the qualifications listed in this posting.
• FP2 IT related
• 1+ year of experience with PC operating systems including Windows Desktop, Windows Server and both linux Debian and CentOS.
• Experience with Networking Principles, Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP), Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN)
• Experience troubleshooting MS Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

• Information Technology Certifications preferred
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) preferred
• Computing Technology Industry Association A+ Certification preferred
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred


Internship program during at least 3 months.
