IT Assistant Business Office

Location: esplugas, Spain

The candidate will work under the supervision of the IT Manager, in collaboration with IT team, assisting as needed in providing services to the school community and systems management.

Essential Duties:

- Serve as the first point of contact of the business office (BO). The candidate will provide technical assistance in accounting/HR tools (billing, accounting entry, accounting balance... );
- Project coordination in collaboration with BO/IT Manager and negotiation with providers;
- Liaise with users to identify and define project requirements, as well as collaborate with a team of IT professionals to define scope and goals of use for new applications;
- Monitor, maintain and perform troubleshooting of the systems under her/his responsibility to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.);
- Collaborate in the development of school projects where she/he can be involved;
- Assist with network and security maintenance and configuration;
- Assist with systems and user maintenance and configuration;


Must have a Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field with proven previous IT experience in the area.

- Ability to program in at least one programming language (preferably );
- Knowledge in software design (OOP) with understanding of testing and use of CI/CD pipelines;
- Very good communication skills with ability to perform in a team environment;
- Experience/ knowledge of ERP (SAP/SAGE...)
- Well-organized with ability to prioritize;
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability;

Knowledge of the following is valuable:
- Linux (debian), Windows, and Mac platforms;
- Use of reporting systems (Crystal reports...);
- Programming skills, specially in /Django, HTML, Javascript and MySQL;
- Configuration of IT systems;
- Microsoft Office suites;
- Be able to communicate in English and Spanish, both orally and in writing.


Conditions and Benefits:

- Full time position working Monday – Friday, 9.00 am to 6.00 pm (tentative)
- Covering for a long term sick leave
- Starting date: immediate
- Free three-course lunch on school and teacher work.
