The company´s Global Translation Services department provides translation services to help clients´ business meet their communication challenges and support their global strategies.

As a Vendor Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of all Language Solutions suppliers by following the certified accreditation and qualification process. Moreover, you will be in charge of negotiating competitive rates, ensuring proper invoicing practices and enforcing the terms as defined in the Service Level Agreement and you will report directly to the Global Vendor Manager.

Your main responsabilities will be the following:

-Active management of translator database, particularly for one of Language Solutions’ most important accounts
-Actively seeking out new vendors to build our database or fill missing language pair needs
-Quality control of translation vendor deliverables
-Creating and supplying translation sample tests to be evaluated for potential new vendors
-Ensuring proper processes and procedures are being implemented and followed in order to meet all requirements from a VM perspective
-Negotiating translation rates with external vendors
-Working closely with Project Managers to allocate projects
-Maintaining accurate and up to date administrative tasks

We are looking for a candidate with the following requirements:

Qualifications:

-College degree (BA, BS) and/or degree in Translation/Interpretation or equivalent experience
-Fluent in English (plus preferred one or more additional languages)

Experience:

-Minimum 2 years prior experience in translation industry
-Previous experience in translation Vendor Management is a plus

Skills:

-Proficient computer skills (MSOffice, Adobe, Browsers, TMS systems, etc.)
-CAT tool experience (preferably Multicorpora PRISM)
-Strong organizational and communication skills along with the ability to prioritize under pressure
