Duties and Responsibilities
o discuss proposals with the internal “clients” (product manager and colleagues) and write the specifications of the product
o work with colleagues to design new systems, circuits and devices or develop existing technology
o test theoretical designs
o systematically improve the detailed design of a piece of electronic equipment
o ensure that a product will work with devices developed by others, can be made again reliably, and will perform consistently in specified operating environments;
o create user-friendly interfaces o ensure regulations are met
o Collaborate with the team to carry out project planning and prepare budgets or Collaborate with technicians, craftspeople and other colleagues
o Understand company’s products to be able to define the engineering specs
Must Have
o Deep knowledge on electronics engineering, at least 4 years of experience
Hands on experience in designing and development of electronics for market; at least developed 3 products to the market that are produced in high numbers and available today
Experience on designing for the desired cost
Experience and understanding on certification and other regulation process
Experience and understanding on aging testing
o Strong analysis and practical problem-solving abilities to resolve tech situations o Experience on design of fixture for test at manufacturing plant
o Experience on collaborating with production teams to meet production numbers and deadlines
Organization and project management skills
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
Ability to collaborate with external engineers or companies directly
Oral and writing English in a high intermediate level
Should have
Experience on low power designs
Experience on electronics for communications
Have some expertise on firmware development
Have interest in the Maker movement
Could have
o Experience on mechanical integration and tests
