As a Head of Infrastructure and Operations, you will be responsible for the whole platform, from performance and monitoring to caching, security and everything in the middle.
This role involves building, automating and managing key parts of the company's runtime environment. You will lead an I&O team and will be expected to act as an I&O knowledge resource for the entire company, helping others understand the architectures' and platforms' underlying features.
Your main responsibilities will be:
-Working closely with the VP of Engineering to determine and develop the company's technical strategy, vision and technical development.
-Lead the infrastructure and operations team.
-Monitor the operational stability, health, security, and efficiency of the platform, infrastructure and systems.
-Ensure that the systems design and architecture is aligned with business strategy and requirements.
-Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack: networking, data pipelines, orchestration, deployment pipelines, web and mobile applications, etc...
-Participate in discussions around software architecture with the development teams.
-Participate in the product definition providing your technical vision.
-Lead and facilitate the building and adoption of new tools and processes to streamline our deployment/rollout processes.
-Lead the way towards Continuous Delivery.
-Mentor your team and serve as a DevOps knowledge resource for the entire tech division.
-Automate, automate, automate and automate!
Requirements:
- 5+ years of prior system administration experience with 24x7 SaaS products with millions of users. (understand SaaS architectures and operations)
- 2+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar infrastructure as a service.
-Experience in cloud cost optimization and management.
-Experience with Kubernetes in a production environment.
-Experience as DBA.
-Experience in building CI/CD pipelines.
-Experience with Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or other configuration management software.
-Experience with virtualization and containerization in a production environment.
-Coding experience in at least one programming language (big plus for PHP or JAVA)
-Experience with data pipelines and BI will be a plus
-Good communication skills to work with development teams and stakeholders.
-Experience with Aglie methodologies.
