Options Away® leverages the concepts and technologies of the financial markets and applies them to the travel industry, allowing consumers to lock-in the price of an airline ticket while finalizing their travel plans. Options Away offers its solutions via APIs to leading travel brands, including Expedia, eDreams, Orbitz, Kayak, and Opodo.

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our new European customer service team to help support our most recent partner, eDreams Odigeo in Barcelona. Options Away is offering a very competitive salary for a 6-month training contract, with the idea that if the candidate meets or exceeds expectations the position may become permanent.

Role and Responsibilities
• Provide excellent customer service solutions through e-mail, phone, and chat in a timely and accurate manner
• Track, follow-up, and resolve customer complaints effectively
• Take full responsibility and ownership for end-to-end case resolution
• Gather information, research/resolve enquiries and maintain accurate logs
• Escalate issues identified to provide long-term solutions and minimize repeat issues for customers
• Participate constructively in initiatives to increase customer satisfaction
• Develop and maintain in-depth product knowledge
• Support internal project management

• Very strong overall customer service proficiency
• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent in both Spanish and German
• Strong English language skills as this is the language used for all internal communication
• High level of computer literacy with the ability to use internal systems to fully investigate and record information
• Experience in analyzing information and data to identify facts and root causes of issues
• Willingness to embrace new technologies
• Proactive, positive and flexible, with the intuition to provide creative solutions
• An undergraduate degree from an accredited university
• Experience working in the travel industry or a travel related business is preferred
• Experience in booking both domestic and international flight reservations is a benefit
• GDS knowledge is a huge bonus, and candidates with this experience will be compensated at a premium
