Our client is constantly developing new products to improve and simplify its product, which consists in making Business Travel easier for corporate clients worldwide. At the head of innovation, they are continually improving customer experience; for both business travelers and their managers.

As a testing engineer your main responsibilities will be:

●Checking the quality of software solutions; nothing will go into production before you actually validate the quality of a new release.
● You’re half way between the developers’ team’s best ally and their worst nightmare (you indirectly help them get better at what they do but you’ll also be the one to point out the bugs and defects in what they develop).
●Who is the Head of Product’s right-hand man? You are of course, since you both aim to deliver a reliable and technically relevant product. You’ll probably also get to suggest functional ideas or improvements !
●Developing your test strategy/plan, elaborating your functional test cases in complement to the user cases already defined in the stories by the Head of Product. You’ll also be executing and documenting them. example test plan
●Running your test plans in accordance with the sprints and doing so in all the relevant browsers and supports.
●Making sure that the testing environments (isoprod and sandbox) meet your requirements.
●Qualifying the anomalies detected by teams or customers, upon the Head of Product evaluating its level of significance, thus providing indispensable preliminary insights for the developers’ correction work.
●You might also be trusted with writing content about new versions which will later be marketed and delivered to clients (either via apps, release notification emails or both… we’ll see!)

Requirements and additional information:

●Having a developer background is valuable but not mandatory.
●At least 2 years of experience in a similar role – to be proactive and know how to organize yourself.
●Some knowledge of SQL
●A high level of English is vital as it is the main communication language both speaking and in writing (emails, documents…)
●The role will be based in either Paris or Barcelona.

Soft skills:
●Curious and resourceful, you try to understand what is really going on before crying out wolf.
●Even if you are not a developer, you are interested in the technical aspects of a solution: SQL queries do not scare you, you know how to read scripts, logs and you understand product interfaces.
