As an Internal Control Manager with our client you will play a vital role in implementing challenging finance projects while enhancing controls creating a positive impact in the performance of the International Region.

You will be responsible of:

Process improvement, standardization and simplification

•Active involvement in projects and ad hoc activities to standardize and simplify end to end finance processes of the International Region resulting in continuous improvement of administrative efficiencies, as well as the effectiveness of the control environment across regions.
•Work closely with other team leaders to document As-Is and To Be processes with the aim to identify root causes and efficiencies while providing guidance to other departments on the identification and documentation of required actions/policies, conformance tests and ongoing monitoring issues.
•Build relationships with key points of contact across the other functions (Commercial Finance, Tax, TP,FP&A) and within the Global Business Services, the countries and externally to maintain an understanding of the process context and identify both intra process and cross process improvement.
•The role will be required to develop training and communication materials to bring consistency across the Region

Internal Controls

•Collaborate with the Internal Auditors and Corporate in overseeing the internal control environment which may include review of existing financial and internal business controls procedures, compliance policy and recommending internal control improvements as well as documenting and preparing memos.
•Lead Segregation of Duties (SOD) reviews, including updating control documentation and agree with respective manager in regard to mitigating controls that may be required.
•Actively participate in the deployment of new policies, procedures and business process, and system implementation ensuring that proper controls are embedded.
•Complete quality review of new agreements and contracts for financial and accounting implications before execution.
•It is important for this person to establish effective business relationships within the company and other stakeholders, including internal auditors and assist management in the understanding of corporate control and risk and the adaptation of internal control principles and risk mitigation plans.

Accounting

•Assist in the month-end closing process and provide support in the financial reporting process in compliance with the company policy, US GAAP, IFRS, SOX and differing regulatory requirements in each country as well as monthly management information requirements from Corporate.

We are looking for a professional with the following qualifications, experience and skills:

•Four or more years of experience in audit (Big Four) and accounting background
•FMCG organizations
•Strong knowledge of accounting framework (US GAAP, IFRS and SOX).
•Experience of working across geographical/cultural locations.
•Experience with SAP/EDW preferred, excellent Excel still a must.
•Finance process change or transformation projects experience.
•Detail oriented with excellent analytical, quantitative and investigative skills; ability to present complex data in a simplified and meaningful way to senior management.
•Excellent communication skills and writing skills to prepare presentations and accounting memos in English and Spanish.
•Ability to priories workload and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
