Our client is a multinational American company leader in integrated communications.
The Web Solutions Project Manager will work with DFS technical and business teams and
end clients to capture and analyse project requirements, design solutions and deliver
innovative digital and web solutions. The role is responsible for identifying and implementing
various technical solutions and working through the entire lifecycle from inception to bug
fixing and aftercare support in accordance with clients’ processes and standards. It will also
be responsible for managing the development or design requirements of website localization
projects to make sure that they are delivered on time and within budget. The role will e
working closely with account managers and the sales department as a key part of the Sales
process. It will furthermore be setting up and managing projects in our Proxy Website
Localisation Solution and do specific modifications layout and web-front end elements of
websites localized via the application.
Main functions:
- Project Managing web or digital localization projects with internal and external service
providers and clients
- Working with account owners to evaluate design briefs and gather client website localisation
requirements
- Examine website structure and content elements to determine use of correct web
localisation tools and workflows
- Estimate scope of web localisation projects to aid accurate proposals
- Administrate settings of applications used to manage website localisation projects, in
particular management and support of our Proxy Website Localisation solution.
- Working with account holders, clients and IT to publish and support localised pages for
clients
- Execute web front-end adjustments as required within the Proxy technology
- Manage technical resources as required for project s to execute web design/development or
content engineering tasks
- Manage support requests on ongoing web localisation contracts through successful
completion.
- 2+ years experience as web designer, digital project manager, webmaster or in a similar role managing multilingual websites or digital projects
- College degree (BA, BS) in relevant field or equivalent experience
- Web front-end design skills (CSS, Jscript, HTML, Ajax, Flash, PHP, Open source) required
- Awareness of leading back-end technologies
- Understanding of ecommerce and content management systems and how these handle multilingual content
- Demonstrated localization testing experience and bug fixing experience
- Understanding of SEO processes in multilingual environments
- Familiarity with proxy website localization approaches and technologies preferable
- Demonstrable ability to manage budgets and work closely with both in-house and external delivery teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to relate information to different target audiences
- A background in development would be of benefit but is not essential
