You will play a key role in setting the technical basis that will bring to life companys new e-commerce.
The objective is to transform the Company into a dedicated online grocery retailer reinventing the shopping experience. The DevOps engineer will design, build and scale up the infrastructure ensuring an excellent service availability as expected by the customers from a sector leader.
You will trigger off a big change in the Spanish retail industry! The aim is to become the main reference in online retail as they are now in traditional grocery.
What you’ll do
- Lead, build and maintain a development environment.
- Architect, review, develop and deliver applications to improve availability, scalability, performance and efficiency of company services.
- Deal with large scale production systems and technologies (load balancing, monitoring, distributed systems or configuration management).
- Undertake measured and methodical troubleshooting of complicated systems.
- Partake in an on-call rotation alongside the engineers who build his development platform.
- Design and build tooling and infrastructure to help engineering teams measure and increase velocity.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Deep knowledge of Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) and all layers of the networking stack.
- Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, Python, JavaScript, Swift or Go.
- Configuration management. You should have real world experience with something like Puppet, Chef, Saltstack, or Ansible.; and proven ability to automate anything in order to improve process efficiency.
- Extensive experience in at least one of the following storage technologies: PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB or similar.
- Experience with automated deployment, continuous integration, and release engineering tools - Jenkins, Travis CI, GoCD, etc.
- Implement, maintain and improve end to end DevOps toolchain covering all Software Development and Delivery Life Cycle stages.
