The main purpose of this role is to be responsible for Building Windows 2000/2003 Servers to the corporate standard, installing various applications that range from In-house written to major SQL Server applications. Once built then the analyst will install the layered applications in most cases in conjunction with Application Support teams or developers. These then are handed over to BAU support through controlled acceptance processes. As a server administrator your principal tasks would consist into:
Be responsible for building and maintaining knowledge of Controls and Compliance standards together with processes and procedures
Perform UAT engineering and integration tests with new software and patches.
Ensure Data Integrity and security is maintained when migrations occur.
Ensure group and system procedures are kept up-to-date.
Be responsible for delivering all or parts of projects.
Liaise with project managers, business technologists and support teams to agree procedures and methodologies.
Analyse existing installations with a view to making migration seamless for end users.
Produce status reports and MIS as required
Build Windows 2000/2003 servers to the corporate standards
Install various Server based applications e.g. SQL Server and Sybase SQL Server again to corporate standards
Install in-house applications.

Requisitos:

Professionally certified in Windows NT/W2K /W2K3
Professionally certified in Microsoft SQL Server
Process and Controls within a technology infrastructure environment.
Networking with Windows Products (especially TCP/IP and Windows 2000/2003 and SQL 2000/2005)
Good understanding of Networking concepts, Hubs, Routers.
Have worked within a Data Centre environment in the financial sector.
Experience with Wintel based Application servers.
High awareness of Windows security issues.
Good knowledge of advanced Windows / NT toolsets, e.g. MMC and associated plugins, secedit, etc.
Microsoft IIS 4-6
HP Server Hardware
MS Office product suite.
Knowledge of Active Directory
Knowledge of a Scripting Language e.g. KixStart or VB Script
Terminal Server technologies (MS TS, Citrix etc.)
SAN Storage
Excellent organizational & analytical skills with ability to handle multiple tasks.
High communication skills & dedicated team player.
