Software QA Engineer - IP / Data Communications

Our client is a world-leading telecommunications company.

Empleo

As a Software QA Engineer in the area of IP / Data Communications, you will be working in the R&D Department of the company and reporting to the Software Integration and Verification Manager.

Requisitos

We are looking for a person with the following qualifications, experience and skills:

Qualifications

-University Major in Computing and/or Telecommunication engineering. Excellent academic record.

Experience

-At least 3 years of proven experience as Software Quality Assurance Engineer or Software Engineer in the area of IP/data communications.
-Experience in Deep Packet Inspection would be a plus.

Technical Competences

-Experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation
-C/C++ and/or advanced scripting programming (perl, Python, shell/bash) on UNIX/Linux is required.
-Knowledge in TCP/IP Networking, data networks and IP-based applications.
-Advanced Linux user and network administrator
-Experience in configuration of networks equipments
-Familiar with RFC and Telecommunication standards analysis
-Technical understanding and experience with GSM/GPRS, Edge, CDMA, UMTS and LTE networks
-Capacity to investigate and debug complex issue investigations
-Software Configuration Management tools
-Familiar with Unix/Linux tool chain: compilers, debuggers, memory profilers.
-Wireshark, traffic capture / sniffers tools

Soft Skills

-Quick and self learning. Be encouraged to gain and develop his/her own skills
-Have a genuine interest in technology, willing to share knowledge
-Excellent in team working
-Self-motivated, organized, solution oriented, passion for details, perseverant
-Good communication skills and open personality

Other

-Fluent English is a MUST (both written and spoken skills)
