Technical Application Assistant

As a Technical Application Assistant in a Web development team, you will be working to support internal clients with the configuration and troubleshooting of our websites and content services. Internal clients include Customer Service agents, Editors, Designers, Communication experts, Webshop configurators or ERP specialists.
Once the root cause of the problem is clear you will fix issues related to CSS, PHP small bugs or templates issues. You will require some ability to debug websites using HTML and PHP. For complex problems, you will escalate issues to the development team.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
-Ability to read and interpret documents
-Capability to understand complex processes and flows for content generation and user account management.
-Ability to work with internal clients to resolve inquiries.
-Provide first level aid to internal clients and identify the source of daily issues reported by them.
-Gather new requests from internal partners and share them with the Web development team leader.
-Test new websites and products during the development phase and register issues found during testing.
-Create new documentation for new or improved processes to share your expertise.
We are thinking in a person with 1 year of experience as a Support Specialist with knowledge in PHP, wanting to grow in a multinational environment. We are looking for a communicative person, both in Spanish and English.
Successful candidate for this position will have:
-Excellent email manner and reading skills.
-Proactivity to request additional information to understand problems.
-Willing to help.
-Ability to work in a team environment and under pressure.
-Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking ability.
-Basic PHP development and coding
-Experience in troubleshooting web products using HTML, CSS and PHP.
-English written and spoken is a must (Helpdesk is for all countries and English is used for communication).
Desired at a basic level:
-Linux and Git using console
-Jira/Mantis as task/bug management systems
-Mailchimp as the Marketing tool
-Unit testing experience
Technical requirements might not be required at the beginning but you are willing to learn everything required to solve issues on your own.
