Fullstack Developer

Location: Barcelona, Spain

As a PHP developer you will be part of the development team with more than other 30 professionals (Frontends, UI/UX, PHP, and Mobile Developers).

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Maintain, develop and add new features to our shared service layer
- Modernise and improve existing code using a DDD approach
- Break and extract new components from monolithic applications
- Triage, diagnose and solve high traffic production system software problems
- Advise on issues for improving performance and scalability
Develop unit, characterisation and functional tests
- Be involved in the full life cycle development process
- Actively participate in Code Reviews
- Documenting existing systems / components


Required skills:

2+ years object-oriented PHP experience
2+ years with Javascript and CSS experience
Strong knowledge and practice of Object Oriented Design patterns and principles
Experience with frontend code release and packaging tools: webpack, gulp, grunt
Experience with CSS extension tools: sass, less
Experience using Twig templating
Experience writing SQL (MySQL) complex queries
Familiarity with cache systems (Redis, Memcache)

Desired knowledge:

Expertise in one of the big PHP frameworks (preferable Laravel or Symfony2)
Expertise in one of the big JS frameworks (preferable React or VueJS)
Experience writing tests (PHPUnit, PHPSpec and Behat for BE, Jest, Mocha for FE)
Experience with queues systems
Knowledge using Docker containers
Experience working on high traffic environments
Experience refactoring code
Experience using GIT
Fluent English: all business spoken and written communications in English
