Wintel Project Manager

Location: Barcelona, Spain

Our client is a multinational company of the pharma sector.


As a Project Manager you will be responsible for increase the operational efficiencies in windows servers, virtualization and Active Directory environment and all other related services.

Your main tasks will be:

-Accountable for the governance on the Wintel domains and infrastructure services (Active directory, DNS, DHCP, print service, ADFS, virtualization).
-Acting as a liaison between the Operational Systems operational team, the architecture team, the Project Management team, application support team and the application development team on all activities.
-Ensuring and controlling that security best practices and policies are at all times enforced for the domain covered, with the operational system operational team.
-Developing requirements, build and defend business cases including budgets and solution design proposals.
-Being an active member of the Technology and Architecture Advisory Board.
-Establishing hardware standards and specifications for existing, growing and new requirements.
-Establishing standard processes for new implementations, diagnosing issues, tracking statuses, and escalating issues within and outside of the group.
-Assisting in establishing product and process improvement plans to reduce support effort, increase automation and increase availability and scalability.
-Facilitating requirements meetings, including peer review sessions and status meetings with software engineering team, security team and the Project Management team.
-Establishing milestones, anticipating issues, and monitoring adherence to project scope, requirements and design documents, schedules, and the software development process.
-Proactively following market trends in technology, anticipating impacts on the current environment and proposing future adaptations or renewals.
-Assuming day-to-day responsibility for ensuring that a project is completed on time and within budget and that all deliverables are of the highest quality.
-Maintaining vendor relationship and communications, including status reporting and informal conversations.
-Providing world class operational services to support and maintain the back office related services.
-Planning and following the service delivered by third parties (external providers), providing KPI’s and reports.
-Providing expertise on Hadoop MapR framework and hardware specifications for the big data environment.


We are looking for a communicative person, willing to contribute and grow within the company.

The minimum requirements for the position are:

-Strong scripting capabilities, eg. On powershell.
-Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or Enterprise Administrator on Windows Servers or equivalent certification.
-Working experience in core software application including Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory, Xendesktop, VMWare, VDI, ADFS, Microsoft Azure, failover and clustering.
-Knowledge in cloud technologies integration.
-Security and compliance certification.
-Strong experience in AD, DNS and DHCP Architecture design and implementation.
-Knowledge in cloud technologies integration.
-IT Security and compliance certification.
-DR knowledge.
-Dockers and containers experience.
-Hadoop experience.
-Experienced and versatile project management talent and methodology.
-ITIL certified.
-Agile mindset, experience with the agile methodology and business agility.
-Network Knowledge.
-Excellent ability to work in a team manner as well as good negotiation skills.
