We are currently seeking for a Business Controller to join a multinacional company in the center of Barcelona. This person will report to the Sourcing Manager for Iberia and will be aligned with other key departments of the organitzation in order to deliver the best results.

Aim of the position: Appraise and improve our sourcing activities by analyzing the company's spending, supplying partnerships and new possibilities.

Main areas of influence and tasks:

*Operational Sourcing - Short term:
-Weekly planning: Lead and coordinate it internally and with competitors, minimising deviations and explaining them with all parties involved.
-Stop management: Program with operations and competitors the annual plant stops planning, and lead the planned and unplanned stops coordination, including cost calculation and lessons learnt.
-Budget: Support in the creation of the annual budget, ensuring further monthly alignment with real costs.

*Strategic Sourcing - Mid term:
-Control the area P&L, liaising with the right departments to get an accurate budget, to understand and report the key major factors and deviations appropriately, for fix and variable costs, and for wholesales.
-Develop buy and sell supply contracts with competitors that improve the company position in the area.
-Lead and maintain the projects portfolio of the region, creating continuously initiatives and projects that improve the existing margin position and ensuring its solid on time execution.
-Supervise that the operational sourcing activity is in line with the strategic regional plan.

*Investment Sourcing - Long term:
-Develop a 3-5 year Supply vs Demand strategy for the region.
-Develop a list of investment opportunities based on supply vs demand studies or spot opportunities from Tonnage, prioritising them and moving them to completion.
-Follow up all the prospects.
-Follow up on approved investments and support the commercialisation process to ensure the delivery of the business case.

*Plan and optimise - Tools:
-Lead the plan and optimise team, using the company tools to improve both short, and mid/long-term operation.
-Expand the tools and maximise their impact in savings and long-term investments.


- College degree, preferably in a field such as finance, engineering or supply chain management.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Tools management: skilled at Excel.
- Profile: analytic, highly organized, great team player and excellent at communicating and decision making.
- Proficient english level.
