Junior Engineering Logistics Analyst

Organización

The company serves customers in technology, energy, healthcare, food and industrial markets worldwide with atmospheric industrial gases (mainly oxygen, nitrogen, argon, hydrogen and carbon dioxide), process and specialty gases, performance materials and chemical intermediates.
It also produces semiconductor materials, refinery hydrogen, natural gas liquefaction (LNG) technology and equipment, epoxy additives, gas cabinets, advanced coatings and adhesives.

Empleo

The Junior Engineering Logistics Analyst is a key strategic process resulting in an investment plan over a 18 months horizon in order to sustain best service level at best cost in the merchant business.
It consists of a series of steps where the various functional organizations review their past performance and their future plans to develop an integrated view of Demand, Supply, and New Product Development.
This position provides lead and support (with operational and commercial analysis) of this process and present the output to the sub-region general manager. In performing this role, the incumbent will assist the Supply chain to anticipate any stock shortages and organize asset investments and new product launches at the best cost and within agreed budget.
The incumbent will also be heavily involved in the development of new tools and recommendation of new processes to optimize our asset utilization.

He/She will be responsible of the following tasks:

-Generate demand forecast.
-Collect relevant information from Sales and Marketing community to improve accuracy of the data and documentation.
-Evaluate the supply ability to support the demand plan.
-Identify any issues and propose alternative supply plans.
-Generate the investment plan.
-Document the investment justification, alternative scenarios, gaps and opportunities to be approved by the general manager.
-Follow-up on past meeting agreed actions.
-Data accuracy and tool functionality
-Maintain and track performance KPIs of the S&OP process.
-Act as internal supply chain consultant (provide operational and commercial analytical support about asset utilization to the sub-regional organizations (commercial, marketing, supply-chain, asset)
-Recommend develop and implement process or tools improvements.
-Provide input into the Budgeting Forecasting planning for the business segments (quarterly update).
-Participate in functional improvements for the tools used in the S&OP and asset optimization processes.


Requisitos

We look for a person with the following knowledge, experience and skills:

-Industrial Engineering degree and/or a business degree.
-Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Access (VBA knowledge valued)
-Knowledge of SAP MM and PP modules will be valued.
-Solid communication skills and the ability to interact and communicate with all levels within the organization including senior management and other functions.
-Awareness or experience in budgeting and cost control.
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
-A high degree of numeracy together with the ability to complete complex analytical tasks.
