Information Security Engineer

As an Information Security Engineer, you will be reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer and you will manage the above and provide expertise to other teams during design/implementation phases of technical projects. All the aspects of security have to be addressed: technical, processes, people.

You will be responsible for:

-Managing through their lifecycle information security solutions such as IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, threat detection, SIEM
-Validating any project proposal to ensure security best practices and policies are applied and propose if necessary solutions to reach an acceptable level of security
-Providing input and visibility into emerging application security technologies, deployment strategies and other security protocols to ensure awareness within the organisation
-Helping managing vulnerabilities by running regular scans and working on remediation with infrastructure and application teams
-Handling security incidents with the SOC team (incident detection, forensic response and root cause analysis)
-Provide input and visibility into emerging application security technologies, deployment strategies and other security protocols to ensure awareness within the organisation
-Validating firewall rules modification requests
-Assisting the end-users with spam/phishing questions

We are looking for a professional with the following qualifications, experience and skills:

Qualifications

-Security focused industry certifications such as a CISSP, CCSP, or OSCP is a plus

Experience

-Four to seven years experience on security solutions (intrusion detection, firewall technologies, Anti-malware, …) - F5, McAfee, Palo Alto, Alien Vault, …
-Experience with operating system security (Windows, Linux)
-Experience with virtualisation or cloud technologies (VmWare, Docker, Azure, AWS…).
-Experience using network vulnerability scanners and ability to analyse scan reports.

Skills

-Strong understanding of IT infrastructure concepts and architectures, including IT network, operating system, middleware configurations.
-Thorough understanding of cyber security operations, event monitoring, and SIEM tools.

Soft skills

-Passionate about information security, creative, motivated and willing to deliver quality work
-Ability to work independently, as a key contributor to the IT security team and lead cross-functional teams
-Team player
-Ability to document and follow processes and procedures
-Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
-Fluent in English (French or Spanish are a plus)
