MES Senior Solution Lead

As an MES Senior Solution Lead, you will be working in the Global Business Solution team in Barcelona.

You will be responsible for:

-Provide functional knowledge to support business objectives (technology watch, best practices) pertaining to your domain and propose added value IS solutions
-Support Supply Chain process owner in collecting, filtering and prioritizing demands
-Ensure consistency of MES functional roadmap with deployment plan as well as consistent usage of the core model (re-usable and integrated with both ERP Plant Automation solutions)
-Assist Supply Chain experts in establishing their requirements
-Translate the requirements into functional and non-functional specifications
-Define appropriate solution design, facilitate decision-making (cost/benefits) on solution changes
-Ensure that MES core solution is well documented
-Be a key member MES project team with a focus on feasibility studies fit/gap analysis, integration tests validation, super-user support during testing and hyper-care phases
-Ensure SLAs are met, support continuous improvement initiatives and best practices implementation
-Comply with IS methodologies, architectural standards, processes and tools
-Contribute / be an innovation partner with respect Supply Chain digitization and other Industry 4.0 initiatives

We are looking for a professional with the following qualifications, experience and skills:

Qualifications

-Expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems (Ideally SIMATIC IT eBR)
-Excellent knowledge of Operations and automated shop-floor environment processes
-Experience in Manufacturing in a process/batch industry is a strong plus Familiar with enterprise architecture concepts
-You have experienced 2 full project implementation cycles as team lead in your domain of expertise
-Holds a Master degree, preferably in information technology

Experience

-Three to five years of experience.

Skills

-Be an effective team player within the Global Business Solutions team
-Work closely and effectively with IS teams, business stakeholders and 3rd parties
-Work closely within Supply Chain team (mostly Operations and Operational Excellence) on various industrial sites
-Manage 3rd party software vendors and service provider vendors when applicable
-Report to IS Manufacturing Senior Manager

Soft skills

-Excellent in problem solving, can think out of the box
-Ability to work with remote / off-shore teams
-Result oriented, good at time management, stress resilient
-Curious, autonomous, needs little supervision (works with remote teams)
-Good communication and leadership skills
-Fluent in English + 2nd language (French is a strong plus), at ease in international environments
-Ability to travel up to 60% of your time
