Our client is a multinational Japanese company specialized in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). With more than 150 thousand employees it operates in over 100 countries and counts with a wide range of products. it also provides services in more than 20 different languages.
As a NOC Security IT Engineer|Team Lead, you will act as a technical expert and adviser.
You will be responsible for:
- Technical support on clients' Networks
- Provide technical assistance to 2nd Line IT Engineers and to 3rd Line (on-site) support teams
- Monitoring and maintaining service availability and security across network security solutions such as firewalls and unified threat management devices, other solutions include remote access solutions
- Supporting deployments for Checkpoint and Fortinet
- Ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLA's) are achieved and/or exceeded
We are looking for a professional with the following qualifications, experience, and skills:
Qualifications:
- Fluency in English (mandatory)
- German language skills (plus)
- Specialized university degree or equivalent education
- Cisco certification (CCNP or CCIE)
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years commercial networking experience
- Experience in small, medium and complex changes to network infrastructures (Install, Move, Add and Change, IMAC)
- Firewalls experience (mandatory)
- Network design (plus)
Skills
- Excellent analytical and fault finding skills
- Good understanding of cybersecurity
- In-depth working knowledge with LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, routing, switching and subnet addressing
- Good working knowledge of networking hardware, especially from the Cisco Catalyst family
- Knowledge of Brocade products (access, distribution, and core)
- Mandatory WLAN experience (WLAN Controller and Access Points)
- ITIL Foundation or knowledge of ITIL processes
- Understanding of network security
