International company, focused about selling official sport clubs merchandise, and starting their experience within the Spanish sports retail market.
You will work in Madrid.
As Finance Manager you will assist the International Finance Director. The role requires someone with the ability to work autonomously in Madrid under the guidance of senior finance staff based in London New York.
On your everyday, your main duties will consist in;
- Work directly with the Director of Finance to prepare operations analysis and reports
- Daily reconciliation of cash and credit card transactions
- Oversee the inventory process and perform in-depth cost of goods analysis
- Ensure a timely and accurate month end closing process
- Manage the disbursement of payroll, benefits and taxes consistent with Spanish legislation
- Analyze monthly balance sheet and P&L figures to prepare comments and expose performance trends
- Develop and coordinate automated accounting applications and processes
- Have a thorough understanding of, and the ability to review contracts
- Build solid working relationships with business and department leaders
- Establish excellent client relationship to ensure optimal and accurate contract administration
- Ensure the business follows all statutory reporting and tax compliance processes, leveraging local professional services
- Manage local banking relationships and cashflow
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
You are the person we are looking for if:
- You have a minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in the merchandise industry
- You have University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- You have advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office software required
- You have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail essential
- You must be highly analytical, have the ability to think creatively, and to understand complex business dynamics
- You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish English, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline oriented environment
- You must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends, and holidays
- You have knowledge of POS, ERP, e-Commerce and payroll systems a plus
- You will have an indefinite contract
