You will join an innovative, German company which is a supplier of sports goods operating worldwide. With more than 60 thousand employees it is specialized in designing and manufacturing shoes, clothing, and accessories within the sports sector. The offices are located in Maia, Portugal.
As a Senior Buyer Specialist, you will be executing the tactical buying of low and mid value items.
During your day-to-day:
- You will be searching for potential suppliers, existing or new
- You will be supporting procurement automation by continuously seeking opportunities to increase catalog coverage of suppliers
- You will be ensuring compliance during the entire process
- You will be conducting Requests for Quotations (RfQ) and supporting suppliers in case of commercial or system related questions
- You will be managing the requisition changes or close PO's (Purchase Orders) if no longer necessary
- You will be doing proactive follow-ups on PO's
- You will be negotiating and selecting different suppliers to determine the PO's terms and conditions
You are the person we are looking for if:
- You are fluent in French (mandatory)
- You are fluent in English (mandatory)
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within the areas of business, economics, finance, procurement or legal, or comparable professional education (desired)
- You have minimum of 4 years general business experience, preferably in Indirect Procurement area (low to mid-level spend) in a middle-sized or large organization
- You have previous experience within the supplier selection, negotiating and contracting (mandatory)
- You have previous experience in contract management, and compliance management
- You show ability to analyze problems and conclude decisions
- You have great communication and negotiation skills
