WElink Energy is planning to develop circa 2.5 GW of PV Solar in Iberia and Southern Europe in the period 2019 - 2021. To execute this pipeline, a senior Technical Leader is sought for the Iberia Region.

Primary responsibilities include:

-PV plant design - leading this activity to ensure that projects are optimized for quality, performance, and cost (capex and opex phases).
-Development to Construction phases - working closely with the Technical Lead for Project Development to ensure effective transition into Construction phase.
-Construction - supporting Projects Managers to deliver projects in line with Plan objectives. Leading on all aspects on construction engineering and resolution of technical and engineering issues.
-Strategic Procurement - Leadership engagement into qualification of suppliers, products, and commercial contracting (performance, warranties etc).
-Engineering Support - leading the qualification and selection of Engineering contractors to support project design and construction.
-Technical Process - ensuring that WElink Energy has clearly documents technical process and standards.
-Sub Contracting and technical approval of sub contractors.

-Leadership of technical performance and resolution of technical issues.
-Management and development of a high capability technical team, ensuring adoption of market leading concepts and operational practices.
-Internal Leadership. Key member within Iberia Management Team, with leadership joint responsibility for implementation of the Iberia business plan.


Experience:

-A bachelor's degree in engineering.
-Minimum of 10 years' experience in PV plant design, project management, system design, applications engineering or related fields.
-Minimum 5 years' experience in management of engineering teams for execution of energy projects.
-Experience with utility interconnection procedures and processes.
-Broad experience with multiple solar energy projects, and specific experience with all major electrical equipment in a solar power plant.
-Proven track record in engineering and/or leading the engineering of utility scale projects; project references must be provided (project / date / location / type / size).
-Significant design engineering knowledge of MV and HV systems networks, including connection process for grid, and plant commissioning.
-Detailed knowledge of the new network connection code and implication for engineering of a power plant.
-Proven delivery of strong process environment (processes, quality standards and engineering methods) across the project lifecycle.
